Llamado mundial a rechazar la Presidencia de Piñera en la COP25 que se realizará en España.

Las organizaciones de las y los Trabajadores y movimientos sociales del pueblo de Chile integrantes de Unidad Social, llamamos al mundo a rechazar la Presidencia de Sebastián Piñera de la 25.ª Conferencia de las partes Convención marco de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Climático (COP25) que se realizará en Madrid, España entre el 2 y 13 de diciembre de 2019

El gobierno de Piñera ha atentado contra el pueblo chileno desatando una sistemática represión y violación a los derechos individuales y colectivos del pueblo en respuesta a las legítimas movilizaciones sociales que se iniciaron en octubre producto de la  profunda crisis social e institucional que atraviesa el país.

En respuesta a las demandas y movilizaciones populares Piñera declaró que "estaba en guerra contra un enemigo poderoso", decretó  un estado de emergencia, restringió libertades, desplegó al Ejército en las calles de Chile e incrementó la acción represiva de las fuerzas especiales de la policía con el resultado inicial de más de 28 muertos, más de doscientos jóvenes que perdieron la vista parcial o total a causa de balines y municiones disparadas a sus ojos y un saldo de miles de personas detenidas y heridas. 

A lo anterior, se agrega el seguimiento ilegal y fichaje de inteligencia por parte de la policía de carabineros en contra de dirigentas y dirigentes sindicales, estudiantiles y de movimientos medio ambientales y sociales.

Las graves violaciones sistemáticas a los derechos humanos del pueblo chileno perpetradas por agentes del estado bajo las órdenes de las autoridades del gobierno de Piñera un sido denunciadas y documentadas, entre otros,  por el INDH, la Comisión Chilena de Derechos Humanos , el Centro de Derechos Humanos de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Chile y Amnistía Internacional e incluyen también denuncias de violaciones y abusos físicos  en contra de manifestantes y violencia en contra de niñas, niños y adolescentes. A lo anterior, incremento de medidas represivas contra el pueblo mapuche junto a un profuso incremento del uso masivo de gases lacrimógenos y otros en contra de las y los ciudadanos en los barrios y territorios de todo el país. 

Por estos hechos, Piñera enfrenta una Acusación Constitucional en la Cámara de Diputados de Chile.

A pesar de la grave situación y en pleno estado de emergencia de restricción de libertades y represión, Piñera sostuvo el 24 de octubre que la organización de la COP25 en Chile se mantenía para retroceder pocos días después suspendiendo el evento.

Un presidente qué declaró estar en guerra contra su propio pueblo, que con su accionar represivo amplió las zonas de sacrificio a todo el territorio y qué suspendió unilateralmente un evento internacional como la COP25 cuyos propósitos son encarar los grandes desafíos frente al calentamiento global y el cambio climático en una perspectiva de Justicia climática está política y moralmente incapacitado para presidir la COP25.

Llamamos a los pueblos del mundo, a los representantes de los gobiernos y Estados del mundo, a las organizaciones de las y los trabajadores, a los movimientos sociales y medio ambientalistas a denunciar y rechazar activamente la Presidencia de Piñera en la COP25 que se realizará en España.

This is a global call to reject the Presidency of Piñera at COP25, which will be held in Spain.

The organizations of the workers and social movements of the people of Chile, members of tge Social Unit, ask the world to reject the Presidency of Sebastián Piñera of the 25th Conference of the parties United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP25) to be held in Madrid, Spain between December 2 and 13, 2019.

The Piñera government has attempted against the Chilean people unleashing a systematic repression and violation of the individual and collective rights of the people in response to the legitimate social mobilizations that began in October as a result of the deep social and institutional crisis that the country is going through.

In response to popular demands and mobilizations Piñera declared that "he was at war against a powerful enemy", decreed a state of emergency, restricted freedoms, deployed the Army in the streets of Chile and increased the repressive action of the police special forces  with the initial result of more than 28 dead, more than two hundred young people who lost their sight partially or totally because of pellets and ammunition shot in their eyes and a balance of thousands of people detained and injured.

Die schwerwiegenden systematischen Verstöße gegen die Menschenrechte des chilenischen Volkes, die von staatlichen Organen auf Anordnung der Behörden von Piñera begangen wurden, wurden unter anderem vom NHRI, der chilenischen Menschenrechtskommission und dem Rights Center verurteilt. Mitarbeiter der Juristischen Fakultät der Universität von Chile und Amnesty International berichten über körperliche Misshandlungen von Demonstranten und Gewalt gegen Kinder und Jugendliche. 

Zu dem oben Genannten kommen verstärkte repressive Maßnahmen gegen die Mapuche zusammen mit einer starken Zunahme des massiven Einsatzes von Tränengas und Gummigeschossen gegen Bürger im ganzen Land.

Aufgrund dieser Tatsachen sieht sich Piñera einer Verfassungsklage in der Abgeordnetenkammer von Chile gegenüber. Trotz der ernsten Situation und der Verhängung des Ausnahmezustands und der Einschränkung der Freiheiten und der Unterdrückung des Volkes sagte Piñera noch am 24. Oktober, dass die COP25 in Chile stattfinden könnte.

Ein Präsident, der erklärte, er sei im Krieg gegen sein eigenes Volk, der mit seinen repressiven Maßnahmen die Ausweitung der Konflikte auf das ganze Land in Kauf nimmt und ein internationales Ereignis wie die COP25 einseitig ausschloss ist politisch und moralisch unfähig die COP25 zu leiten.
